Title: Aquamail for Blackberry?
Post by: jkc054 on April 03, 2015, 01:28:11 am
Will Aquamail work on the Blackberry Classic? If yes where and how do I download and install it? I use Aquamail on my Android phone on the AT&T network and would hate to give it up if I migrate to a Blackberry Classic phone on the AT&T network.

Wheyll, this page here claims the Classic can run Android apps:

http://us.blackberry.com/smartphones/blackberry-classic/overview.html

Don't know how well that works, but I know there are people running Aqua on other BB models, supposedly same Android emulation capabilities?

Since BB devices don't have Google Play, you'll need to download the app from here

http://www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=217

or this forum (under development builds, where I post stable builds too).

If you're a Pro version user, and purchased it on Play, please contact me at kmansoft / gmail and I'll create a license in my own system, for use on the BB.

Aquamail for Windows Phone? Too small market share? I will buy Lumia 640 to test this operative system…

Galaxy Note 4 + Gear 2

Kostya has only two hands and he is already busy with Android version...

Plus, small user base - small profits (if any) for too much work. iOS version would be better. But both version won't come.

Maybe Kostya can support Chrome OS + Win, Linux with Chrome Browser since it is possible to run Android apps there. It requires simple change related to Google Play Services in manifest and "rebuilding" usinv Google's tool.

Yep, just two hands and -- even worse -- only one head (where the brain is, supposedly). So Android only it is.
