Title: BCC question
Post by: joboy on September 23, 2014, 10:04:30 am
Hi there,

I am running AM on Sony Xperia Z2 with Android 4.4.2, I have a strange problem with BCC. Sometimes I receive copy of my reply and my address shows up on the BCC, I don't know if this is a track people use or a feature of AM, BCC normally will not show up on the sender field and none of my other mail client can do that, any comment ?

Do you have a "BCC to self" activated in Aqua?

Long press the account -> options and folders -> composing and sending.

This would also show when you go to compose a brand new message.

If you look at the message in your "Sent" folder, you'll see the BCC line. This is because AquaMail saves the raw message directly to the Sent folder.

However, when you see the message in your inbox, there should be no BCC line.

This is correct.

Per users' requests, my code will show a BCC if the header is there -- and will upload these to IMAP servers' Sent folders too.

But when submitting messages for sending over SMTP, the BCC is not sent -- so your recipients won't see them ever.
