The translation "Schlauer [Eingangs]Ordner" (smart inbox), however, does not sound very professional.
I would call it "Arbeitsordner" (working folder) or much simpler and even more elegant: "Fokus"

I don't agree that "Gemeinsamer Ordner" is a nice term for smart inbox.
It does not describe the overall function of this box.
And by the way, "unified" does not mean "gemeinsam" but "einheitlich".
The last suggestion from Freak is not too bad. "Fokus" describes exactely the function, for this box contains the mails which are currently in the focus of interest.
Moreover the name is not that long. In my view, a nice term would be "Fokusbox".

I'm a German. Fokusbox isn't a usual term. I think, Sammelbox (like collection box) shows better the meaning of that box.

In German, «Smart Folder» has been translated to «Smart Inbox». Since sent messages can also be shown in Smart Folder, I suggest that translation to German be updated. Someone may help ?

It seems very hard to find a correspondent german word for the intention of the "smart folder".
Maybe the best solution will be to keep an english description, just change from "Smart Inbox" -> "Smart Mailbox".

Kostiya wasn't very hapy with this discription.
Paris sugested "You can enable swiping on message body in App Settings" but as far as I could see Kostya didn't use this so I translated to "Mail ansich".
But now I had a look into the Duden an the Word is written "an sich"....
So Kostya could you please change to:

I found a small but confusing matter with the german translation at chosing the "swipe'n fire"-actions in App settings - swiping - first/second/third icon:
english german need to be changed to
--> same like "account settings"
Delete (the account's delete Löschen Löschen (entsprechend den
option) Kontoeinstellungen)
Move to "Deleted" nach "Gelöscht" in den Ordner "Gelöscht"
Delete immediately Löschen Löschen (vom Server löschen)
--> see attached screenshots "german" <-> "english"
I suggest it's worth to be changed with the next beta build.

There is no hurry, take your time.
Then I'd be able to actually merge them using special tools (which show file differences and let me copy the changes), as opposed to having to copy each item into its XML file one by one, using "plain" copy / paste.

Once I've posted the next build (in an hour or so), please use this menu to check that your translation of "new look / new features" actually fits on the screen.
In Play versions, this screen will show only when upgrading from 1.5.0 to 1.5.1, automatically, and only once.

Therefore the translation should be as follows:

Lots of settings to configure the application just the way *you* would like. Separate settings for WiFi and mobile connections.

May I revive the discussion about "Smart Folder"? "Smart" is a term, which is a commonly used in german language, but "folder" is not.
Usually this term is translated to "Intelligenter Ordner". Compare to other software by Apple, Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Firefox (> Smart Bookmark Folder).
So we would have an appropriate expression, additionally it makes clear, that it's not a static folder.

Thank you for response, but I don't agree. ;) Some aspects:
a) Your suggested string "Versuche formatierten (HTML) Text umzubrechen" is NOT requesting the user (2nd person) to do something. It's definetely a description of what the app will do (1st person).
b) So it was described in english in 1st person (which is most of the times the same term as 2nd person).
c) In english language it's a common way to go, of course. Other languages I don't know.
d) In softwares texts in german language usually the translation avoids both 1st person and avoids addressing the user personally (2nd person).
Generally it is tried to be "neutral" and have the action verb at the end of the string. (Exception: String's getting too long, then try to put the action verb at first).
This applies especially to business software. Since some years some "hip" and messenger-like software (apps) tried to break this way, they address the user directly.
e) What we find in AquaMail actually is an inconsistent mixture of all. ;) You will find:
- "neutral" terms
- "1st person" description/summaries
See these 6 items in screenshot:
- Each of them show "neutral" way in header
In summaries:
- item no. 4 and 5 is written in "neutral" description with action verb at the end. (This is as it should be from my opinion)
- item no 2, 3 and 6 shows "1st person"-description
- item no 1 - hey ;) - You see another new way to go: "3rd person" description.
You will find other examples of course.
But I know (and realize here), that raising existing and current work of others is always a very sensitive thing. So I will not complain, leave it as it is. It seems to work for the users.

Additionally to the previous posts in this thread about a usefully translation for the term 'Smart Folder' I would like to share some more thoughts from my side.
In my opinion there is no need to translate every single word, especially for technical terms.
A few examples you will find currently in AquaMail's Settings section (... I guess not only in the German localization):
Login, Server, Port, WiFi, Mailserver, IMAP Push, Expunge(*), Message ID, Auto-sync, Navigation Drawer(*), Floating context bar(*), App, Spam, Icon, Button, Inbox, Account, ... and lastly 'Smart Folder'.
Already the German translation "Swiping"(*) > "Wischfunktionen" is rather unfortunate to my taste - but even better than just the word "Wischen" which implies something like "Cleaning" in German language or the word "Streichen" (could be "cancel/delete" or "paint").
(*) maybe you could find meaningful and understandable German translations for these specific terms:

Another aspect: Which group of users is the target?
Also the list contains terms, which are not used by users, who don't have technical background and who will be happy, if the app does the configuration by itself after having selected the mail provider.
When translating I usually ask some friends of me (including my wife ;)) to get different perspectives. I asked - in german of course ;) - two friends and my wife: "In mail app: What do you consider to be a Smart Folder?" They did not have an idea.
Then I asked what a "Intelligenter Ordner" could be. Immediately they had associations in direction of: It contains important/selected or similar mails, and the app does it for me. So I saw an occasion to raise the last discussion abbout that term.
Another aspect:
Always look what other software provider are doing - how do they deal with a term?

Thanks for your response and you can be sure the discussion about the translations are very much appreciate.
Attached you will find "your" screenshot with the original English wording (version 1.6.0.4-3) and in my opinion) no. 1 - Enable, 2 - Shrink, 3 (new) - Try, 4 + 5 (former 3 + 4) - Show, and 7 (former 6) - Enable, are ALL showing "2nd person" (du / you: the app should do something), not the user (who would be the "1st person" - ich / me: the user has to do sth.). My view is from the user's perspective.
Kostya's original wording should be reflected as far as possible. This was and should be continue to be the goal.

With these descriptions in mind the German wording "Intelligenter Ordner" could be misleading the users that this folder would be just an "Intelligent Search Folder", but the implementation in AquaMail is indeed precisely not some kind of a "Search folder"...

Rather, it has not been translated into German, because: better a correct term in the original language as a bad translation 8)
Another suggestion from my side would be "SmartBox" - as you already know I am a fan of the term "Smart...", since AquaMail is really a very smart implemented app :) - and I guess, most of the Germans which are using an Android device are a) "smart" and b) they knowi the term "box".
However, your suggestion "Globaler Ordner" (engl.: Global Folder) could also make sense.

In Roman languages (e.g. French) "smart" is not applicable, it means nothing here. Instead, "Unified box" is used. In Arabic, it's "Unifying folder" or "Unified folder" (same spelling, different pronunciation).

The Smart Folder in AquaMail implemented by Kostya is a unique feature which is indeed not comparable with other email clients. That's the reason for the English wording "Smart Folder" and not just "Combined Folder" or "Unified Folder" or...
For example: AquaMail's "Combined drafts" (also in Account list) is in fact just a combined folder that shows drafts for all accounts in one special unified folder (but then not any more in the individual accounts).
Therefore the Smart Folder is a kind of "Virtual" folder that just shows specific messages from different accounts / different folders in one single box (it's not really a "folder"). However, the messages itself will remain stored on their original places (folders).
How about "Virtuelle Box" or (even more like the original English wording) "SmartBox?

It is a special kind of "Smart Folders", which others call "Smart Folder" and provide as virtual folder for "saved searches" - see above. But in AquaMail there are less features for it. You can not use search terms (like in other clients), but you can select locations (=folders).
This is why I suggested "Intelligenter Ordner" at first (for me the best term) :)
I will leave this discussion now, because I haven't got any new thoughts. Kostya will have to decide himself wether he makes changes or not.

They thought of similar things like "Fritz!Box" (router model) and mailbox, which is associated in german language with a voice mail system. But one of them supposed, that there could be some magic, which is done by the SmartBox. ;)
Now I see this result:
I restarted a discussion about translation of Smart Folder, and there was a discussion again about it, thank you - though it would have been better, if some more users were involved.
The new term is not the one I would see as the best one, (e.g. a folder is not a box). But at least we get rid of the english term "folder". So bottom line it's a step forward.

I think "Box" could be a good replacement for "Folder" and the new wording "SmartBox" should be sufficient and understandable also for Germans.
"Smart" is quite a common phrase also in Germany regarding electronic devices like Smartphone, SmartWatch, Smartband (e.g. Sony's Smartband SWR10 ), Smart TV ..
.... and a "Box" is a container for various things (German terms: "Behälter", "Kiste", "Schachtel",...).
In addition to that "Box" is a common used term also in german language, e.g.:
"box (container)" <> "Box (Behälter)"
"lunch box" <> "Lunch-Box"
"horse box" <> "Pferdebox"
"mailbox" <> "Mailbox"
"parking space" <> "Parkbox"
"Jukebox" <> "Musikbox"
"Toolbox" <> "Werkzeugbox"
"collecting box" <> "Sammelbox", (e.g. "Zeitschriftenbox")

The German translations thus correspond to the English original text: (..)Translating word by word ist not what "correspond" of a translation means.
Translating software into german language, we have to consider always 3 criteria:
- content related aspects
- language related aspects
- user interface related aspects (e.g. max length of strings)
Language related aspects mean, that software translations follow usual mode of expression. In german language usually you will find a formal style of expression, which avoids direct addressing and will have the verb and the end of a string (that's how I learned it). I already tried to explain it here (https://www.aqua-mail.com/forum/index.php?topic=2214.msg23102#msg23102), so I don't revive the discussion. :)
However, there are many apps, which are translated worse ;). So thank you for your work.

Remarks and questions:

"cache" is where attachment files are stored when the app downloads them and the user does a "view" (tap to view).
"save" is if the user long presses an attachment or does "three dots -> save", in which case they're moved to a folder under the user's control, default is the standard "Download" folder.
And the actions (in the three dot menu next to each attachment) are labeled like this:

The colors will be only dimmed/darkened not really faded/paled.
Therefore I personally tend to use "Gedämpfte Farben" or - perhaps more usual - "Gedeckte Farben" - in contrast to "Grelle Farben" (bright, glaring colors)

Both are similar. Keywords from menu are the same. My explanation is longer.
You know: I usually prefer to avoid addressing the user directly in german software translations - so there are no problems with "Du" or "Sie".
However, since AquaMail actually has different "styles" of translation for german language, it doesn't matter which one will be used. So let's use Mike's translation.
