Title: Allow fullscreen for Nexus 7 in smart inbox
Post by: apuder on December 27, 2012, 02:26:03 pm
Hi,

on a 7" tablet you divide the screen in smart inbox mode. There is a handle that allows the user to change the size of the two windows. It would be nice if the handle could be dragged all the way up (effectively making the message list window fullscreen).

I guess you're looking for something like Gmail on that size device...

Something like this is already on my list, might be a special UI setting (open messages full screen in portrait mode, or something, just like there is now a setting to split the screen vertically in portrait mode).

Yes, that is what I had in mind. You already do this for smaller screens. 7" screens are just at the borderline where a tablet layout is often "too busy".

Thanks for considering this feature request.

+1 for me too. Great functional app, but doesn't look great on a nexus 7

I actually like the two column mode on my n7. I have the message list column on the left set to minimum width.

What I would like to see is the full screen toggle using the entire screen for the message. The way it is now, the header and toolbar are hidden, but the sidebar remains.
