Title: Edit messages
Post by: bukox on January 21, 2014, 12:20:35 pm
Hello.
It would be great to add possibility to "open message for editing". it would be very useful for templates (messages in "templates" folder) becouse e-mail messages from this folder does not disappear after sending.

Best regards

SO, YOU WOULD LIKE TO CREATE TEMPLATES, EMAIL WITH TEXT AND SIGNATURE, BUT NOT ADDRESSES, AND SAVE IN TO A SPECIFIC FOLDER, CORRECT?

IT COULD BE NOT SO FREQUENT FOR SOME USERS...

Yes. Special folder "Templates" (like other special folders: Drafts, Junk etc) is standard folder in e-mail clients like Thunderbird. It works different than other folders (for example Drafts) becouse sended e-mail is still in this folder and doesn't disappear after sending. It's very comfortable and I use it everyday at my work.

ok, but if you complete a template, for example editing object and address, when you send it, I suppose dent email is inside outbox and the template remains the original, not edited, correct?

Yes exactly. Of course I can do it by copy template content and paste into new message but it's less comfortable.

Have you tried the "quick response" feature? You can define your own text snippets and quickly insert them into the text area. This is in the menu when composing a message.
