Title: 1.3.2
Post by: Kostya Vasilyev on December 24, 2013, 01:16:05 am
An incremental update to 1.3.0, based on feedback. The staged rollout continues.

+ Settings -> message list: round contact images, slim message item padding, both off by default.

+ Fixed not being able to send Google Docs attachments on 4.4.

* Bug fixes.

The staged Google Play rollout continues.

Yep, I forgot (or maybe never knew) that Android 4.1-4.2 doesn't support clipping to paths when HW acceleration is enabled... It treats circles are rectangles.

I'm almost done adding a workaround for those Android versions, will be in the 1.3.3 update (tonight).

Ok, can someone try this one?

( hmm, it seems like I stumbled into what's becoming the app's most important feature... far more important than Exchange or push mail... )

Which Android version does your HTC One have?

I have an HTC One Max with 4.3, works there... but don't have a non-Max HTC One.

I've got an LG Nexus 5 and a 2012 Nexus 7 with 4.4.2, and the round images work fine on both.

The fix I just added is specific to 4.1-4.2 inclusive.

Can you try this:

In AquaMail, go to settings -> debug -> disable GPU. Exit AquaMail with Back, restart, check if it fixes it for you.

Ok. Now go tell the CM team to fix Canvas.clipPath for the HTC One in hardware accelerated graphics code :)

AquaMail uses hardware acceleration on 4.1+.

According to official documentation:

http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/graphics/hardware-accel.html#unsupported

Canvas.clipPath is only unsupported (can't clip to a circle) on 4.1-4.2, and is supported on 4.3 and higher.

Yes, I agree, esp. since Android is more about sharp angles and rectangular shapes...

...but there are many users who just want it to look "like on the iPhone".

if you are interested in italian equivalence:

I am, thanks! What about a "summary" (subtitle)? It doesn't have to be ironic as the default (English) one :)

Sorry, you are a detective!
I had missed because I hate Apple  ;D

Immagine dei contatti circolare

Sono forse più rotonde quelle dell'iPhone?
