+ Action buttons in status bar notifications now work with up to 5 messages at a time (if in same account) (4.1+).
+ Fixed pull to refresh crashing on Android 3.0 - 4.0 (different animation APIs on them all!)
Also:
- When searching a folder, the current sort order will carry from the folder message list into the search results message list.
- "Keep the screen on" now applies to sent messages.
For more details on recently added support for ical / .ics calendar invites, please see notes for 1.2.4.35:

Hi,
I have a problem with Outlook invites.
The event is marked with "repeats: yearly",
even when it doesn't repeat and the worst
thing: I can't accept the invitation.
AquaMail says: "Error inserting Android calendar event. Reply not sent."

Yes, I had the issue as well. I was crazy looking to other places (ROM, Network, etc) until I saw a new version was posted.
About invites. Is intended that clicking View does something different than processing the invite?
-
@druckmusik - can you forward me the message with the .ics attachment where the "yearly" thing is wrong?
Also, a debug log of the app failing to insert the event would be nice, or at very least, could you share details about your device and its Android version?
@jcasares - yes, this is intended. "three dots" -> tries to launch the .ics a regular attachment, in case there is an app that can handle it and the user wishes to use that.
-
I love the pic-previews in sent and composing. However, portraits are shown as landscapes on my Note 2(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/31/eru4upug.jpg)

Hello Kostya,
sent you an invite to kmansoft <at> gmail.com
Device is a Nexus 7 with Android 4.3.
Same happens with a Galaxy Nexus, also on Android 4.3.
I've attached the debug-log.

@dirk - was that image picker from the gallery?
@druckmusik - thanks, I'll take a look
-
I used the picker from Quickpic
-
Ok, I fixed the image rotation thing today...
Now just need to look at ical parsing tomorrow...
Will post a new build when that's done too.
-
Hi,
I request to add features for Signature, like Bold, Italic, Colour, Font etc.
Thanks

Ok, I fixed the image rotation thing today...
Gr8,
Thnx.
-
@dirk -- looks like I'll be busy with iCal fixes for a couple more days (it's a pretty complex data format), so...
I just re-uploaded the .36 version with the rotation fix.
Here is the link again:

iCal: fixed "repeat: yearly" that should not be there, fixed inserting into Android calendar. This is invites sent by Exchange 2007 Server (not Outlook).
http://www.aqua-mail.com/download/AquaMail-market-1.2.4.36-2.apk
Has the image rotation fix too.
Now I've got to do some more work on invites:
The way Exchange Server encodes timezones is, well, very elaborate and complicated, and I've got to add code to properly parse that (as it stands, the code uses the device's time zone, which is really not right).
-
Has the image rotation fix too.
Tested it profoundly and it works flawlessly. Any chance to offer different thumbnail sizes? On my Note 2 I can hardly see them, coz they are to small O0
-
I certainly could, but is that really appropriate when composing messages? I mean, it would make you scroll more when entering recipients and typing message content.
The point is just to be sure you've attached the right image, not look in details -- am I wrong?
-
Yeah, you are prolly right. I actually only miss the bigger thumbnails, when lookin into the sent folder and checking the pics I sent.
When I think about it, I actually miss something different. The thumbnails for composing are OK the way they are, but I would like AM to show attached pics (as soon as they are downloaded) at the end of the mail in full size (or only in page width, but zoomable) as if they were embedded.
Just like in thunderbird. That would be so awesomely, don't you think? ;)
-
Zoomable? Right there?
Sorry, I fail to see the point --
There are plenty of third party apps that focus on viewing images, and any one of them is just one or two taps away.
Their developers have put a lot of effort into it, and I'm sure they're better that whatever I could come up with.
These apps run full screen, too, which is kind of important for phone sized screens.
Re: thunderbird, and desktop UIs in general --
1) they typically have larger screens (a 10.1" notebook is considered "small", while a 10.1" tablet is "large") and
2) on those larger screens, UI elements can be smaller, and there can be more of them, because a mouse is more precise than a finger
-
OK ;)
