Title: Setting up aliases - part 1, Gmail
Post by: Kostya Vasilyev on June 20, 2013, 02:57:24 pm
The following is a amazing tutorial, created and sent to me by a user, on using identities to work with other mail accounts.

This part covers configuring your Gmail account on the web site. Part 2 ( to follow shortly) covers setting up AquaMail.

On the next screen, "Treat as Alias" should be left unchecked.

Be sure to select "Send through ... <your mail server here>" or else your recipients will see "on behalf of <your gmail account>".

Result: new account added for checking and sending mail both.

Messages are collected from other accounts an assigned into labels / folders.

Assign your own colors to labels if you wish -- it's email with cherry on top :)
