Re: For Kostya , sony has official api for home badge now
It only took them five years, and I guess only after the "old" unofficial broadcast has stopped working in their 6.0 ROMs (why didn't they keep it working?)
In any case, AquaMail since 1.6.2 has a special code path for 6.0+ and it works fine.
Looks like it's same thing, a ContentProvider insert (although I haven't checked the URI in Sony's library .jar file yet).

Yep, same everything as already is in AquaMail 1.6.2
Re: Push for Exchange
I just recently (over the last few days) worked out an overall technical approach that should work.
So yes, it's starting to look possible / doable / within the requirements.
As to the "when" -- the only ETA I can give is "when it's done".

I appreciate your prompt response. Eagerly waiting for this push feature.

I just saw they recently added support for Huawei launcher too -> https://github.com/leolin310148/ShortcutBadger/blob/master/ShortcutBadger/src/main/java/me/leolin/shortcutbadger/impl/HuaweiHomeBadger.java

I don't happen to own a Huawei, do you know if this needs permissions?
