Title: Displaying attached images inline?
Post by: doctorow on November 29, 2012, 07:33:53 pm
I am not sure whether this feature is already present or not. At least I couldn't find a way to make it working.  ;)

It would be fantastic if Aqua Mail allowed me (as an option, perhaps only for Wifi connections) to view attached images in a mail inline, without me having to click on the attachment button first and then viewing the image in an external app like Gallery. It's how most mail clients tread attached imagine, including most desktop clients, and also Apple's mail client on the iPhone/iPad.

That's a good one, especially with Gmail 4.2 having larger image previews.

Will need to implement previewing, too, and present the attachments differently altogether (getting rid of the paper clip button will make sure that prev/next icons are always visible and in the same place).

I wish there was a thumb up emoticon available here. ;)

.. having a consistent UI where the prev/next icons are /always/ visible is a very good thing.  When I first started using AquaMail, I thought there was a setting I could use to force the prev/next.

Cheers,

I don't like much the attachment management change, but if it's needed for other features I can live with it. I think it takes vertical space from an already constrained screen in phones. In any case thanks for all the dedication you put on the application.

What is your device and its screen size, for reference?
