I have 1.4.1.58 beta 7.3.1, and I cannot install any recent updates. It gets to the screen which tells me about permissions (no new permissions), then instead of a progress bar, I get "app not installed" with a big X. My settings allow unknown sources when I do this. Same result downloading directly or via the update tool. No later version will install. Before the version I have - no problem.....
Any ideas?

"App not installed" usually comes up when trying to downgrade...

FWIW - the version codes (internal version number, an integer value, not a string) has been increasing throughout the beta releases...

I'd try to check the logcat (system log) if you can, or maybe use Pyler's "downgrader" app if you can (root):

Or try to update via Google+:

Yeah got that too, but you should go to the g+ page with a browser and not the mobile app. Then subscribe to the g+ community. You will be asked if you want to join the beta programme.

The mobile g+ app does not allow joining a beta programme somehow. At least I did not succeed in doing so.

Well, I was not very observant. I was using a normal browser but missed the join button!
It has now updated to latest beta.

What does the "Animation" option in "Look and Feel" do for AquaMail?

Enables and disables the use of animation in the app's interface.
