Could you please specify where and when you see these settings?

Thanks, I am not sure how it sees or catigorizes "important". I want a notification on all incoming emails. I do not run do not disturb.
Running the latest Android 10 Oxygen OS 10.0.14.HD65AA on a OnePlus 7T

That's a very odd screen. What version of AM are you using? Long press on the three dots in the upper right > settings > about > version info.

Typically when selecting Message Notifications from either the main settings menu or from a specific account's settings, it brings to you the phone's notification settings. Are you trying to set from the main menu or from a specific account's menu?

This is a screen created by the system of your device.

You should therefore consult the manual of your phone manufacturer.

E.g. Sony Xperia: it looks a bit different.

Well, if it is cannot duplicate this "Importance" setting in my phones menus. So I disagree for now.

It comes up when I am in Aqua Mail/All accounts listed/settings/ and select "manage notifications" it brings up what is shown on the screen shot.

Can one of you guys with a non-OnePlus 7T follow that path and see if you get the same thing? Thanks for helping....

Samsung Galaxy S8: Main menu > Settings > Manage Notifications shows me this:

And then clicking on the next Manage Notifications takes me to the Android notifications for AM:
