G'day Everyone, Please help.
I have been using Aquamail for many years and quite like it but since I have upgraded my phone to the New Oppo R15Pro last week I seem to have issues with the Push notifications. I have done Back-up & Restore so all the settings are the same but yet unless I open the App and do refresh it will not push the emails through like it used too. It is frustration and spent days trying to sort it out so any help would be greatly appreciated :)
P.S. The Oppo uses Android 8.1.0

Hi,
The issue could be outside the app and should be able to get solved in the phone settings.
Android 6 and newer and its “Doze Mode”:
Doze Mode is where Android will not let apps run in the background as often as they need to while the phone is stationary.
To check, please bring up AquaMail settings -> mail, receiving.
If the app is not already whitelisted, there will be a green panel / button / message / prompt asking you to do this.
I'm not sure if this is the root cause but it's worth to check the system settings.

Thanks very much for your respond but the "Doze" option in now in the Phone Settings, App Management, Aquamail, Power Consumption protection. Mine is already off so still no good.
I remember seeing "Whitelist" somewhere but can't find it anywhere.
Any other ideas?

I finally fixed it now. it is in the same page as the "Doze" feature.
Phone Settings, App Management, Aquamail, Power Consumption protection.
Disable everything
"Background Freeze"
Abnormal Apps Optimization"
"Doze"
That fixed it.
It has been driving me Crazy for days LOL

The only thing that still not working is the unread email notification numbers on on the home screen. I only get 1 dot notification and there is no option to change it. When I go into FaceBook there is an option for a dot or number budge. Any ideas there?

Maybe the described solution could also solve your issue.

See attached.
Facebook gives you an option to select "Number Budge" where is Aquamail doesn't

Yet, did you have already tried to enable 'Smart Watch Enhancement' as described under #2 in the previous mentioned thread?

If you have that option already enabled, but the problem still persists, you might have run into the same problem as described in this recent thread - even if it's a different manufacturer -:

The problem was still there after enable "Smart watch" but I found the fix for it thanks to your last post.
I have used the Aquamail Widget which I didn't even know I had :) and that shows the numbers perfectly now so i'm using it instead. Happy days.
P.S. Thanks again for all your help :)

Great, that's at least a small success :)
