Wrong sorting of mails
« on: January 18, 2015, 04:34:34 am »
In my INBOX the sorting of the mails by date goes wrong. Most of the mails are sortet correct but a couple of older mails from one person appear all on the same day.
Even in the mail the displayed date is incorrect.
But in other email clients the sorting is correct and the displayed date also.

I use IMAP with GMX

I checked the header of these mails:

Return-Path: xxxxxx
Received: from xxxx by xxxx with xxxx for xxxx; Mon, 24 Nov 2014 17:09:47 +0100
Received: from xxxx by xxxx with xxxx for xxxx; Mon, 24 Nov 2014 17:09:47 +0100
Date: Fri, 31 Oct 2014 12:47:38 +0100
Subject: xxxx
Message-ID: xxxx
From: xxxx
To: xxxx
MIME-Version: 1.0

The date shown in AquaMail is 24 Nov (Received:) and not 31 Oct

I have no idea why the Received Date is so much later than the Send-Date. I received the mail on 31 Oc.

Please check this option in account settings:
 > long press and hold account name > Options and folders > IMAP options > Which message date/time to download > choose the second option 'date/time sent' (from message header)'.

If necessary repeat these steps for each respective account.

Note:
The date/time data are provided by the server. AquaMail will only uses these delivered data.

Thank you so much!
Now it works fine.
Well, I think I would have never found that by my own ;-)

But if I have some experts here, maybe I can ask another question (off-topic):
If I have IMAP-folders and subfolders AquaMail shows the folders but kind of "flat".
Is it possible to map the main-folder and the subfolders are mapped automatically and then displayed not in that flat kind.
It would be nice if it is possible to see only the main-folder and by touching it, the subfolders appear. Like in Windows-Explorer.

Hope you understand what I mean :-)

@how-much
You will find some more information about folders in the FAQ's:

http://www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=227
Search for "How do I access server side folders?"... it's the fourth headline

Thanks at all,

I read this FAQ before but I was wondering if it is possible, to show the folders and subfolders not in the flat way but in a Windows-Explorer way with an (+) or something to unfold the subfolders.

But unfortunatelly it is not possible.
Maybe it is something to implement in another release. Could be helpful to manage subfolders.

But thank you very much for your answers
