After using K9 Mail for many years, I'm really happy I made the switch to AquaMail.
I often mark a message with a star to indicate its importance, or to remind me not to delete it. In K9, when marking a message with a star, the star would not only appear on the specific message, but also in the message list. I see that AquaMail's star is only on the message itself. I often delete messages right from the message list and having the star also appear there would help me see what's important.
Is making the star visible on the message list possible? And if so, how?
Thanks.

App settings -> message list -> enable showing stars

Perfect!!
I knew it had to be buried somewhere in the config options. Although now that I know where it is, it's where it belongs and not really buried.
Thanks Kostya.

well, this setting affects message list only, can I remove the star from inside the message?
-
Yes, just tap the star. Tap on, tap off.
-
no, you didn't understand, I want the icon to be gone,
not the option to star/unstar a message,
I searched the settings but I couldn't find a setting to remove the icon when viewing a single message
-
I'm fairly certain that can't be done.
-
that's what I thought, maybe they can add that option,
because I never use it and I find starred messages from time to time,
starred accidentally
-
no I want the star icon gone
-
Try this: App Menu (three dots upper left) > Settings > Message list > Stars and untick it.

I have done that already,
I wanted to remove the icon inside a message on the top right corner
