An observation: it looks like Google does not use "smart" with "watch" (with or without the space between them), except for referring to "Smartwatch" by Sony. I wonder if that's to avoid any potential clash with Sony's trademark
But I see many sites and sellers use "smart watch" or "smartwatch" generically. E.g. Amazon using "smart watch" as a category.

But, it looks like "smartwatch" might not be a trademark:

Anyway, - Google avoids using it.
