Since some hours, I get "Incoming server login error: NO AUTHENTICATE Invalid Credentials" on my @netscape.net account. No changes were made before on my side, and login via AOL webmail still works as expected. At the AOL website, no problems are reported. Does anybody have an idea what went wrong?

Hi Jurgen,
AOL require that you use an app-specific password with Aqua Mail (or any other non-AOL mail app, really). Here (https://help.aol.com/articles/Create-and-manage-app-password) you can find details how to do this. Your IMAP/SMTP settings do not need to be altered.

STOP!!
I've got it. The app-specific password had to be entered instead of my own one.
Problem solved. Many, many thanks!!

Hi Martin
Many thanks for your quick reply!!
But I already tried this and failed finding the place at the Aqua Mail settings where to enter the app-specific password provided by AOL ... may you please help me out on this challenge?

Hi Jurgen,
You can either remove the account and re-add it altogether OR you can go into Settings > Manage accounts > Your netscape e-mail > Account Setup > Replace the existing password with the one you generated from AOL.com and tap Next.
