Been a few months since I asked and was told possibly in the future it would be added.
Any update on adding this feature to allow custom sound notification for specific incoming email address?
Thanks

No feature, no update, sorry.

Thanks I will check back again in a few months, hopefully this pops up on the development radar.

Hi Kostya, any update on this feature? Thanks

Hi,
We have this in our lengthy To-Do list. Unfortunately at the moment, there are more pressing issues and features that we are addressing on a daily basis. Therefore I cannot give you an exact time frame.

This is a very highly desired feature. It would be nice if this is moved up in the to-do list. I don't quite understand the priority of Text-to-speech and how that was released over a request like this but I'm looking forward to hearing back when this is added. There is only one other email client which comes close to this and that is the Gmail app. A feature like this would really set AquaMail apart from the competitors.

arf8: As a workaround, apps such as Lightflow can search each notification for specific text, and respond with all kinds of sounds/vibrations/LEDs when they find the desired text. If you have AM notifications turned on, I think you could accomplish what you're looking for.

Hi Kirk33 - thanks for the suggestion. I prefer to keep tasks running in the background to a minimum to preserve battery life so while an option for some not a viable option for me at this time. It would be fairly easy to integrate this feature into AquaMail if the developers get serious about it and I'm hoping it happens sooner than later over features like text to speech which I can't imagine is that highly desired.
For example after reading just the first few reviews of LightFlow this is just unacceptable: It uses alot of ram... Two processes, 267mb and 137mb. Is that really needed? Plagued with adverts so I guess that's why.
