My inboxes in the app are configured to show "Unread" emails at the top, but for some reason that setting does not carry over to the messages widget - is this in fact not possible with the widget, or did I miss a setting?
-
Hello,
The settings should carry.
Please check your settings in the Message list>Default sort order>and set them to Unread first, then go to your account Inbox>Three dot menu (top right)>Sort>Unread>Save as default
-
Inbox>Sort>Unread + Starred first>Save as default -- Unread + Starred is the only option, and I do not have any starred messages in this account.
Message list>Default sort order>Unread first
The order is respected in the app as expected.
I deleted all of the existing widgets, created new widgets, selected "Inbox", and it's still sorting by "Newest"
I attached some screenshots to hopefully help

Hi,
In your 3rd screenshot you should first (1) click on "Unread + Starred first".
Then go to this menu again and click on (2) "Save as default"
-
Thanks for the reply - I did all of that, and while it will sort the emails by unread in the app, the widget still only sorts by date.
It turns out that the Gmail widget can't show unread emails at the top either, nor can any of the 10 other email app widgets I tried. ;D
Oh well it's a minor annoyance, and other than that, everything else about this app is fantastic!
