Title: Error: Invalid certificate
Post by: ArrigoLandini on December 11, 2012, 05:43:46 pm
Hi,

I can't configure my mail account; I get the message "invalid certificate" for IMAP (SSL) and SMTP (TLS), and Aquamail doesn't let me go beyond the error screen, only go back and review the settings. Unfortunately, my company uses a certificate that is not validated by some recognized authority, and I can't do anything about it. Is there a setting to accept the certificates anyway? I got it to work in the standard Android email client (which has the setting "accept all certificates") and in K9.

Thanks!

... sorry, I hadn't read Chris' question and the answer. I tried "SSL-relaxed" and "TLS-relaxed", and it works.

Great, thank you.

FWIW, I recently changed the wording from "relaxed" to "accept any", hopefully that's better.
