I have paid for this app, I have set the signature in the identities section, but it never appears in any emails that I reply to or create from scratch. Please help!!!

Per identity signatures are used when using the respective identity.
There is a per-account signature setting too: long press an account, then Options and Folders -> Composing and sending.
