Option for "delayed send"?
« on: May 25, 2017, 03:22:45 pm »
I tried to search for this but only found things in 2013.  Is there an option to delay the email send -- or a way to "bail out" if I send in error?  TIA.

Yes, there is a "Send later" feature implemented in the meantime:

You will find this setting in the Compose screen :
-> menu button (3-dots) -> very first item "Send later"

what I believe is being requested is a buffer or delay of a few seconds or even a minute so that if the email was sent in mistake, the author still has time to edit or even cancel the email all together.

For that, there is an "undo" option (you can enable it instead of send confirmation), - but that works only for a few seconds (3? 5? ..)

No undo for send, but user can enable confirmation.
You will find this option in the 'Settings' -> Composing and sending -> scroll down and enable "Confirm before sending"

Oops, yep, sorry... "undo" was implemented for deleting messages only... My mistake.
