Hoping you will greatly consider these enhancements

NJRonbo:
I bought AquaMail a few months ago and I stopped using it because it would not properly format HTML mail with images.
With a new phone (Galaxy Note II) and now Jellybean, I am not very happy with some of the things Samsung has done with their standard email app.

….so I am back to AquaMail again.

I like the fact I can talk directly to the author here. I am hoping that you will consider some of the suggestions I am about to make…

1. Formatting. The formatting is still not great. There is not a proper wraparound when viewing large HTML messages. I have to scroll left and right across the bottom sometimes to read an entire message. I do not have this problem in Samsung email.

2. Is it possible to add mail checking every 1 minute? Your lowest setting is 5 minutes, but for those of us that need our email to appear the second it is sent, I would love for there to be an option to check every minute.  And, yes, I know it promotes battery drainage but that should be a problem that each user should weigh and consider on their own.

3. Now that there are larger phones out there, can you make the email message list even bigger? For instance, you have DETAILED and COMPACT. Those are great. However, would love to see even more of the message in bigger individual boxes. Right now, on a large phone (Galaxy Note II) the message boxes still appear tiny even when the DETAILED option is selected. This is the one reason why I went back to Samsung mail originally. I loved the fact that the email message list was larger and more friendly to the eyes.

Hope you take these suggestions as useful. If they could be implemented in a future release I think you have something that really can draw more people to your email client.

I already responded in site comments, but here it is again so you can get a notification email:

1 - I'm using an Android HTML rendering component to display message content. Making it scale content the way you suggest is just something I've not been able to do, and not for the lack of trying.

2 - Yes, if you switch to Extended settings there will be a new item to enter any mail check internal, just below where you can pick one from a list.

3 - Not sure I understand. You mention "tiny" - have you tried the hardware volume keys to adjust font size?

NJRonbo:
Kostya,

Thank you so much for replying here.  Great advantage getting email notification.

1. Appreciate you continuing to try to properly scale HTML rendering.  Had no idea it was so difficult.

2. The lowest interval I saw for checking messages was 5 minutes.  Not sure what else you were referring to as far as entering a custom mail interval.  I did see "Push" which I checked for instant messages, if that is what you are referring to.  Please let me know.

3. Never knew about the volume rocker enlarging the fonts.  Absolutely perfect!  Perfect!  Thank you.

Thank you for continuing to provide this level of support on your product

Hi,

Please see the screenshots (and we'll see if the forum lets me upload attachments).

1 - You will want to switch to Extended settings mode
2 - Scroll down to where you previously were choosing the interval from a list (min value == 5 min)
3 - Tap the next item, which is "Custom check interval", and enter 1 minute. This will override the setting where you pick from the list

The above is for the global setting. You can also bring up an account's Special Settings ("Special" -- override global app settings; start by long pressing the account in the account list) and set a custom mail check interval there, just for that account.

That's great.

Have the phone set up perfectly now.  Thanks for your help.

PS:  Not certain if this email app does it or not, but pulling pictures off phone contacts would be a great feature.  Maybe even perhaps Facebook integration to show those contact pictures.
