Title: Suddenly duplicate mails in inbox
Post by: Nigelmay on July 25, 2017, 06:04:11 pm
I've just started using AquaMail to replace K-9 on my Samsung S7 Edge, I love it, a really great app, thanks. Today though a strange thing has happened. My mail account is IMAP with my ISP, and according to Thunderbird on the desktop I have 38 mails in my inbox, but in Aqumail some of the mails, starting at 16.06 on 18 July have been duplicated at some point today, but mails received today after 04.45 are not duplicated.

I guess my question is how do I delete local mails without deleting them on the server? I know how in K-9, but I haven't discovered it in AquaMail, my stupidity without a doubt.

Thanks in advance.

I'd just remove the account from the app (long press) and add it back in.

If the issue happens again we can investigate, maybe there is some pattern to it (btw the best place for a "sanity check" is not Thunderbird, but your mail provider's web mail... just sits "closer to the mail server" which is what we want here).

Thanks very much, I'll give it a go.
