Wondering if there is an auto forward function built in to the app similar to MS Outlook that can be created within rules?

No.

I am not sure if Tasker can do that (it has integration with Aquamail).

There isn't sorry.

Many mail services these days have "message filtering / processing rules" and some I believe can forward (selected) messages elsewhere. Gmail can do this (just checked), maybe others too.

The nice thing about it is - this works independently of any email app at all.
