Title: Accept mail server ssl certificate
Post by: chris on December 05, 2012, 01:26:38 am
Hi everyone,

is there any possibility to accept flawed ssl certificates on creating a new account in AquaMail?

I'm using a synology nas as an (internal) imap server and would very much like to connect to that thing with AquaMail via an ssl connection. However, on creating an account for the imap server AquaMail just states that the certificate is invalid (which is technically correct as it cannot be verified against a root CA) and then drops back to the options. Other mail clients allow to accept such certificates permanently and only complain once.

Is it possible to create an account for such a server at all? If not, I'd like to add this to the list of feature requests :-)

I'm using the pro version by the way.

Thanks
Chris

Yes, this is possible - the security settings (on incoming / outgoing server setup pages) include is SSL (accept all) and STARTTLS (accept all). Just choose one of those from the dropdown.
