Swiping something to delete it seems to be somewhat de rigueur these days in the Android world.
Any thoughts about having thus feature in the world's finest Android email app?

I agree....
Many of the new email programs now allow you to swipe right to delete an email.
That would be an awesome feature.
-
Yeah, i would love that too. With an option in the settings, whether the email should be deleted with or without confirmation.
And:
swiping to the right = delete
Swiping to the left = reply

Yes, swiping is this season's orange. I wrote a little prototype a couple of weeks ago even.
But:
Steve Ballmer's famous "Developers Developers Developers"

Now imagine him saying "Exchange Web Services, Exchange Web Services, Exchange Web Services".

Would not really get me excited.
But imagine him saying: "Swipe, swipe, swipe... ...I got 6 words for ya: I.Love.Swiping.Left.And.Right!"

@Kostya really, are you sure 'EWS'? ;-) ;-)
-
Um, should I have made the font larger? :)
Seriously, I'm not ignoring you guys and gals. EWS has been asked for many, many times over the last year and a half.
-
@Kostya you are the best
-
Great Kostya you're okay, I've thought you've run into infinite loop :P
-
Swipe left and right after EWS
Swipe left and right after EWS
Swipe left and right after EWS
:))
-
Kostya, be sure of one thing:
We all deeply appreciate your work!
It's simply a question of perspective. If I needed EWS, I would surely be mighty glad, that you will not be distracted by some hooligans shouting: "Swipe, swipe, swipe!"
So - make those EWS-guys happy first.
And maaaaaaybeeeee after that...?
(Swipe left and right, swipe l&r...)
:)
Btw.
It's great to have a dev with both skills and humor!

Uh, yes. Replying and deleting are the two most common actions for me with emails. So:

Santa came and went and, whilst he did leave a good haul here I guess I wasn't good enough this year because my AquaMail is still bereft of swiping fun and games.
Santa did leave me so real nice checkboxes though and it sounds like many boys and girls got Exchange connectivity so I guess it wasn't all bad... :)

Would really be cool!

Hey Rachel, we seem to be having the same Santa - mine also delivered NICE checkmarks, but no swiping. Checked my socks twice, but - alas - no swipe. Cried all night...
-
We do? How odd :o
Happy new year dirkliesenfeld!
-
Happy New year Rachel :-*
And to everyone else, too... :))

Hmm, I got the nice checkmarks, but also lots of complaints about those damned "color chips" and suggestions to add a setting to turn them off in the next version (which has been there all along).
Where I live, there is no Santa, rather, we have Ded Moroz ("Father Frost"); that probably explains the difference :)

I like dem color chips. Rounded color chips is even better.

But that can't be true - I saw Santa deliver Christmas presents to Moscow on Christmas eve - well at least that what Google showed me on their Santa Tracker and they would't lie would they...? 8)
