Title: Aquamail Notifications on Galaxy S3.
Post by: hmssss on December 18, 2012, 10:49:03 pm
I can find NO NOTIFICATIONS settings  for aquamail pro anywhere in my Galaxy S3 Android version 4.4.   No email settings and no global settings applying to aquamail.
How do I set up notifications so i know when an email arrives?

I will anxiously be looking for the answer to this question.  I have posted a similar question but have not had a response yet.  I have my settings to recieve notifications but they don't work - I can't get them.  Under Settings, click on Extended Settings (don't use the Basic settings) - and pretty far down you will see the Message Notifications section.  Like I said, I turned mine on but still don't get notifications.  Please let me know if this works for you.

Hi,

The notifications are enabled by default, but only when there are 1) changes on the server and 2) there are new  unread messages received during the most recent mail check.

Also, the app is defaults to not post notifications when you check mail manually, in the app (since the unread message counts are right there).

All of these can be changed in the app's settings, scroll down to the Notifications section. If you switch the app settings into Extended mode first (top item), there will be more settings items there.

Also worth checking: long press the account, check Special Settings to see if there is an override there (i.e. no notifications for a specific account).
