I really like aquamail, but i need to set up an additional account. I already have aquamail connected to 1 exchangeserver, but now i need to connect to an other office365 business account and this fails at large.
No matter what i do i always get the invalid server response HTTP/1.1 404 not found error.
I tried the "Exchange mail"setup flow, but it searches for mail.companyname.com and this doesn't excist. i tried the microsoft mx record but this also gives me the same error.
What can i do?
I also created a new mx record for mail.companyname.com and set it to the microsoft server, but no luck.

I finaly got it!!
you don't need to mess around with your DNS entries. Just select "manual" setup for OWA and use outlook.office365.com for the incoming mail server. 8)

Yes, it's outlook.office365.com.
The app does have code to do a DNS MX lookup, to discover Office 365 accounts, but sounds like it didn't quite work for some reason...

Similar problem here: I'm trying to use an exchange server at "www[.]nuevasync[.]com" but that server name does not work with Aqua-Mail. The setup, however, works when creating a BlackBerry Hub+ exchange account.

Please ask your IT department if your Exchange server supports
EWS
aka Exchange Web Services
An official part of Exchange since 2007, Aqua Mail (and a few other apps) use it to connect to Exchange. Not Active Sync (another way to connect to Exchange).

Is there no way to add Exchange ActiveSync support to AquaMail?
-
We are not planning to add Active Sync - for Exchange our app uses EWS and that's working just fine.
Yes some companies turn EWS off - but then again, at some companies, corporate email can only be accessed with a small selection (white list) of email apps and all other apps are blocked.
EWS is not a problem. IT policies are. And the IT people - since they are the ones in control - can block or disable anything they want (for good reasons I'm sure).
