Title: HTML received as an attachment
Post by: Slovey on February 10, 2014, 09:41:50 am
I received an email from someone and the format of the email was HTML, and instead of it just showing up as text in the body of the email, it came as an attachment. The only way I could see the content of the email in Aquamail was by opening the attachment.
If I looked at the same email on my laptop, or on an ipad, the content of the email was just like any other email - text in the body... no attachment. It is only when I view the email in AM that it is as an attachment, and I have to use the HTML Viewer to read it.
Anyone know why this is? Or if there is something that needs to be changed on my end?

I assume this happens with one specific message, correct? Or maybe all messages from one sender (promo / ads? automated notifications?)

Please capture the issue in a debug log (link below), with "session data" enabled.

After enabling logging, open the message, and do Menu -> Diag: reload (last item in the menu).

Was this porblem solved?
I have the same issue with my Aquamail used on a Huawei Mate 8 with Android 7. A friend of mine is also using AM but on his phone (Blackberry) the mail is showen as text and not as a attachement. I only have this problem wit mails send over a email distributor from Microsoft exchange.

Thx for the Help
