Notifications (light + vibration + sound) stopped working.
Version 1.10.0-403
Android 7.1.1
Settings -> Message notifications ->
Enable notifications On
Notify about: All unread message
Sound Procyon
LED notifications On
When the app is active On

I've rebooted before posting.
How do I create a debug file?
-
It could be also related to a change at Android's system level:

Seem to be solved now.
Please see my reply in the thread mikeone linked too.

Additional question...
Notification light turns of after 15 minutes. Is there a way to let it blink for hours if needed?

This is controlled by Android. An app "posts a notification" with "please Android please will you flash the LED with this color" -- that's all.
You may want to consider an "LED Enhancement app" -- e.g. Light Flow (which has support for Aqua), but I understand there are others too.

Sometimes one has to disagree with the master. This is one of those times I think ;)
The app you suggested does work. But it's bloatware.
Since my last post I kept a closer eye on the notification lights of apps.
For example, when I was asleep I got a message from NextPlus (an texting app) the notification was still active 6 hours later.
I don't know why. Perhaps that app tells Android to keep flashing longer? Or it just keeps sending Android instructions to flash the light? Is it possible you can somehow make the notifications from AquaMail more permanent?

The way Android notifications work is --
- an app "posts" a "notification object" which describes everything about the notification (the LED, text, summary, sound)
- the rest is done by Android
- it isn't necessary to "remind" Android about an already posted notification, in fact the app's OS process may go away
An so, sorry, I don't quite know what might be wrong...
On the other hand yes maybe NextPlus does post repeat notifications - or maybe it's not marked as "designed for Android 6" (internally), and that changes how Android treats its notification (e.g. do its notification icons have color?)
