Martin Kostov - Aqua Mail Support:
Hi everyone,

Aqua Mail 1.40.1 is now available! So here's what we did:

* The long-awaited fix for "Push" regarding the  O365 and exchange accounts is here.   :o
Please keep in mind that you may receive an error from your Exchange/Microsoft/Outlook accounts, if this happens please re-add the account/s.

You may need to re-register your request to the "Push" server as well. (More detailed info here https://aquamail.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/77000534629)

1. Manage folders> Disable the push for all the folders.

2. Account options> Disable push

3. Mail receiving> Disable push

4. Restart the app (completely)

5. Repeat the steps above, but this time activate the Push (no need to follow the exact order)

mywax:
Is this still required with version 1.40.1?

aquamail.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/77000526111

My organization controls which apps can be approved so I'm unable to upgrade beyond version 1.36.

Thanks

MDE:
On my phone the new version hasn’t solved the problem.

My first test was just updating the app from 1.36 to 1.40.1 and disabling/enabling the push function as descript in the upper topic. With around 50 folder it takes some time to do that, that is not very handy.  After disabling I have restarted the app and the phone as well.

The second test was deinstalling and reinstalling the app but that also does not fix it. Here I must activated for each folder that is should be synchronized and activate push. With 50 folder it is quit boring, no idea why that cannot be set automatically for all folders.

Another problem with the versions high 1.36 is that the update of the folder takes a long time. For every folder it takes around 3 seconds.

I have to go back to 1.36 to use the app.

MDE:
Now I have the problem also with the 1.36 version. No push messages anymore. If I open the app it starts automatically to sync the folder with good speed.
It looks like that the previous installation of 1.40.1 has changed something in my setting. Maybe it has changed it on the server side or so.

MKANET:
Thank you so much for fixing this.  As soon as I upgraded to the latest version of AquaMail on the Google Play Store, push/syn worked immediately!  It is especially fast when I enabled compression under "Exchange settings".

I appreciate all the hard work the developers did to finally eliminate  8)this bug!  I honestly believe AquaMail is the best email client on Android and does a great job with O365 email.
