Not at all.

Not even a little bit.

All I did today was fix a crash or two and up the version number.

Thanks for this last one.

My office suite show formatting problem opening pdf.

If the object is in two row the aligned could be modified, see my screenshot.

That's not "formatting problem".

That's "subject too long to fit on one line, so it wraps".

That's "subject too long to fit on one line, so it wraps".

I understand that @Fcasoli would like to see the text of "Object:" and the title itself be aligned to the top.

In his screenshot, "Oggetto:" and "Conferma...." would be aligned.
Your explanation is perfect

I do not like to be controlled, however, I learned that the product is what the market wants, not only as one who thinks ...
You could run a poll of opinions.

>> the product is what the market wants

"When will Aqua have Material Design?" (easy one: soon)

"But your navigation drawer is all wrong, and the back icon is all wrong too" (look at Google Play, but, well, ok)

Chorus, left side: "What, still no push for Exchange?"

Chorus: right side: "What, no color lines in the account list?"

Chorus, left side: "What, still no conversation view?"

Chorus, right side: "What, no setting for message date/size color?"

Orchestra: Bam-param-ta-daaam

Mezzo soprano: "It worked on my old Sony, and now I get some kind of error on my new Samsung".

Baritone, in a distance, but very loud: "Hey, Accompil has *great*, I mean *great* Calendar view!!! And your app does not!!! And I paid for it!!! And Accompil has an iPhone version, and you don't, how come???"

----------

The market wants

1) everything 2) everything 3) everything ....

100) yesterday ....

200) and "you're the slowest software developer in the world" -- wait, not "developer", a "hack" who doesn't know what he's doing.

Clearly. Obviously. "You'd never work at Google or Yahoo, haha!!!"

----------

And that, mon ami, is why I closed off the "Feature Requests" section.

>>  My continuous fear: a user asks something, you implement it in place of an existing feature, and that ends with unwanted/worse feature than what existed before

In general, I'm very careful to keep "old stuff" -- be it the app's logic, or even look and feel -- as options, maybe not always the defaults, but still there, for the user to revert to what he/she was used to.

Sometimes I am tempted to remove 99% of all the customization features, yes.... But if I do, what will be left? Pretty much, nothing :)

With this version just updated, I can swipe down at the left of the headings to "select several messages", but notice that there are two oddities.
If I swipe down fewer than 3, none is selected. I think this is a feature to prevent accidentally selecting two with fat fingers. So is OK.
Second issue I don't understand.
As soon as I have swiped far enough that the animated bar at the top becomes full width, then ALL the messages fully on screen are selected. So more are selected in portrait than landscape.
Should there be a way to select, say, four or five, not a whole screen?
Using lollipop (5.0).

"Pull to select" works same way here as "pull to refresh" -- you have to swipe far enough for it to take. Watch the prompt in the panel  near the top, and the progress bar there.

>> ALL the messages fully on screen are selected

Yes. Same as Menu -> Select All would do.

>> Should there be a way to select, say, four or five, not a whole screen

There is. Just tap them one by one.

"Pull to select" is a shortcut, specifically for selecting "all" messages (where "all" might mean "all visible" or "all loaded", depending on a setting under "message list").

It works the same way as Menu -> Select all (and the whole reason for "pull to select" is that the menu may not be able to show Select All as an icon -- when using the Floating Action Button -- so I added a more "tactile" way to do it).

Kostya,
We all appreciate your great development job.
Don't feel bad or bothered by us.  Our ideas are not any requirements but suggestions to improve this beautiful app.
We love and enjoy your app (more and more... each day).
Thank you very  much.

The root of it all is --

-- there are many excellent mail apps these days, and most of them come from "proper" companies, with funding which allows for more than one developer, support people, testers. For cloud based apps (which are getting more and more popular), money to cover server costs, server developers.

Someone (usually QA) to work out "what mail service break this week, and how exactly is it broken now". And let's not forget marketing and business development (Sparrow, Mailbox, Accompli...)

The others -- K9 with its 100+ contributors (I know they're not all equal, but...)... Mail Droid which was already there, as a shipping app when I was only starting to work on mine... Enhanced Email which is/was heavily based on stock Email's source code... Did I miss any? Oh, the countless K9 clones.

And then there is me -- on my own.

But -- and @FCasoli is completely right -- the market wants what the market wants. Users don't care about any of the above, they just want features X Y and Z like in mail apps A b and C, and "oh, why doesn't your app do Q, even my phone's built in, basic email app can do this".

So it's kind of turned into playing football (soccer for you USA'ers), in a real tournament, by myself, but against proper 10+1 teams. Somewhat ridiculous, and definitely not what the spectators wanted to see.

And you alone do a better job than all the others put together.

It is truly amazing what you have created! Besides being the most responsive developer. Sometimes I wonder if there is anything you cannot do.....

+1

For me it is even inexplicable how you can do it all alone. Sometimes I think you really have a whole army of people who are all working and posting here in your name. Your performance is really really impressive.

Hello Kostya,

Yesterday I changed to stock lollipop on sgs5.
http://www.sammobile.com/2014/12/04/samsung-galaxy-s5-sm-g900f-receives-android-5-0-lollipop-update/

No problems with aquamail, just works as it did with android 4.4.2...  :)

Thanks!

I been using only development version,  never play version of aqua since the time I remember.  This speaks how stringent QA is performed by single man,  or genetically it is good.  So I am happy with aqua over all,  though I wish it had some more features,  to make it more and more marketable and above other big companies app.  But we can wait and watch,
Good luck

Thanks. All clear now!
I hadn't used menu select all before, and the release notes used different words so I supposed it was different.
Happy now.
