Title: how do i mark as read all mail?

How do i mark as read all main, including those in the subfolders.

as of right now there are thousands of emails that are unread.. however, whenever i select it thru the menu, it only clears off a small handful..

fyi, using android - samsung note 2.

Yes, the app only works with the messages it has seen, which is not all of them.

I recommend doing this -- as it's possibly a one-shot task -- in web mail, if you have access to your account that way.

I have the same problem: 2000 unread in the inbox.
Sadly Your suggestion doesn't work, it's a pop3 (T-Online.de) and at webmail all are read...

It's not really the same problem. In your case you don't have subfolders but only the Inbox.
You can change in settings the option for selection to chose any loaded messages instead of only the visible ones.
