---

Had to bump version and rebuild due to a build tools issue.

Posted to Google Play "beta".

Just to recap the changes:

+ Google recommended, improved security for Gmail (OAUTH2).

This is the big one in this version.

When adding a new account into Aqua, there is a new choice (other than Internet / Exchange): a Gmail or Google Apps account.

You can select an account that already exists in the device's "system settings / accounts", or you can choose "Other..." and enter an account that's not present in system settings.

- The former requires Google Play Services installed, and you won't need to enter your password again

- The latter doesn't need anything special and should work on Nokia X, Amazon Kindle, etc. -- and you will need to enter your email / password on Google's web site (will open in a window inside Aqua).

Pre-existing Gmail accounts can be upgraded to OAUTH in-place, without losing the account's settings / options / messages messages.

- If there is a match in the device's system settings / accounts, you'll get an upgrade prompt (green panel) right in the account list.

- If there is no match in system settings, this will be in the account's "account setup" window (long press the account to open).

When you grant AquaMail the permission to access your email, it will be listed here, and can be revoked:

https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions

Oh, OAUTH2 works really well with two-step verification too.

+ Settings -> look and feel -> title bar and icon bar color (for "juicy colors" theme).

---

Пришлось увеличить номер версии и пересобрать, проблема со средствами разработки.

Поехала в Google Play как "бета".

Дайджест изменений чтобы в одном месте.

+ Усиленная, рекомендованная Google безопасность для Gmail (OAUTH2).

Это главное изменение в этой версии.

При создании новой учетной записи в Акве, есть новый тип учетной записи (+ к старым Интернет и Exchange почта): учетная запись Gmail или Google Apps.

https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions

Кстати, OAUTH2 прекрасно работает с двух-факторной авторизацией (с кодом по SMS).

+ Настройки -> интерфейс -> цвет заголовков и панелей (для темы "сочные цвета").

With FAB and Android 5.0, I can still count on at least two icons -- so there will still be room in the account list for "search" and "refresh".

Btw, can you add "launch app" between events which trigger sync?

"launch app" --> as in, some other app being launched?

I would recommend doing it with Tasker -- let Pent worry about how to monitor other apps launching, including on Android 5 :)

Hi,
If I select one or more emails, the theme will change to green.
What setup can I drive to change this particular theme?
Thanks

Hi,
2. You can remove "message size" information, in message list settings, for space-saving.

Thanks, precious wizard!

Anyone having problems with IMAP IDLE not working on Android 5.0? I have installed the Nexus 10 official factory image but the icon is not visible and i am not receiving any mail (while my phone on Android 4.4.4 does). Manually refreshing downloads the new messages.

I've only had 5.0 on my Nexus 5 for a few hours, but will check it out.

Is scheduled sync happening?

Seems to be fine on a Nexus 5 with 5.0 factory image released about 16 hours ago.

Debug log, perhaps?

I have a debug log. Where can I send it to?

AM only syncs every 15 minutes, instead of IMAP IDLE. Perhaps i did configure something wrong .I did a complete userdata wipe and lost my backups. I had to reconfigure AM.

Creating debug logs for in-depth diagnostics: http://www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=232

Please send the log file to kmansoft / at sign / gmail / dot com (and disable logging afterwards). The log filed is called log-AquaMail.txt and is stored at the root of your device’s memory card or large built-in storage.

As of 1.2.5.0, attaching logs is easy: there is a menu item for this in the compose window (last one).

The log does not contain your email account passwords.

Yes, "fastboot oem unlock" does a full wipe :)

Push mail is disabled by default at the account level, for all accounts -- did you enable it? Long press the account -> options and folders -> account options.

Please make sure first, and if it doesn't help -- my email is kmansoft / at / gmail / dot com

Well fastboot oem unlock was done the same day that i bought the Nexus 10. I corrupted my partitions by doing a factory reset in TWRP. Had to do a fastboot erase userdata.....

Thanks for the hint.... enabled IMAP Push in the wrong location :/

So problem solved.. Sorry for the trouble.

Not so fast, mister.

1:

https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=77632

As you can see, Google engineers are again playing their favorite drinking game -- "working as intended".

2:

https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=79107

That's not some silly image overlay like it's 2011, is it? Or is it, really?

---

Besides, I've only had 5.0 on my Nexus 5 since this morning.

And the 5.0 emulator freezes every few minutes, on Windows and Linux, so I couldn't use it (yes, there is a bug report for that too).
