Title: Notification sound repeating over and over
Post by: daniel.sc on February 06, 2019, 08:13:49 pm
Hi,
Using Samsung S9 running version 9.

My scenario is this:

I have 10 new emails. I see all of them as unread on my PC.
Every time I select an email on my PC to read I get a notification on my phone.
So if I go thru 10 unread emails on my PC I have to hear 10 notifications on my phone.

Do I have a switch set up wrong in AquaMail?

Thanks!

Settings, notification settings. "Play sound only once"..........?(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190206/327c69159e46584e1299c6fc051baa65.jpg)

Settings, notification settings. "Play sound only once"..........?

I had that "Play sound only once" unchecked.
So if I check that option does that mean that I will not get a new notification on my phone each time a new email comes in?
I do want to hear a notification on each new email arrival on the phone for when I am away from my desktop pc, which is often.
On the warehouse floor sometimes I cannot hear a notification however if a new email comes in a short while later it is helpful to get an additional sound when I am in a quieter area.
Otherwise my phone would remain silent until I physically look at it.

I just can't understand why when reading new emails on the PC it triggers a new notification on the phone every time I move to the next unread message.
It is like a notification is being triggered each time the new message count decreases from 10 to 9 to 8 etc.
