I'm not sure what is meant by 'hiding' a message. I understand that it won't be removed from the server, but where on the phone does a message go when it is hidden?
Is it possible to un-hide a message?

Re: where on the phone does a message go when it is hidden
It hides behind that big tree in the backyard (but please be hush about it) :)
A "hidden" message won't be visible "anywhere" in the app - which is the point.
Re: Is it possible to un-hide a message
Yes, Menu -> View -> Show hidden messages in a folder will restore them.

Inbox in an account shows emails in count but none are visible. I have tried to unhide and to remove/reinstall account. Emails in count actually exist on server. No such problems with other accounts set up in AquaMail.

How did I know this was a GoDaddy account before checking the address in your profile? :)
Please ask their support to "resync the account".
Their IMAP server can lie about the number of messages existing in a folder. The "resync" procedure is supposed to fix that.

Sorry to disappoint, but the email account in question is a rogers.com account through Yahoo. I have other email accounts through GoDaddy which dont have problems. The emails showing in the count but invisible in Aquamail exist on the server in the Inbox.

LOL
Re: rogers.com account through Yahoo
1 - Please check web mail for this account to make sure that messages do exist there
2 - Please try long pressing on the account (on the app's main screen) -> options and folders -> imap options -> turn off "optimizations".
3 - If no change, please capture the issue in the app's debug log (there is a link for instructions in my signature); you will need to enable "raw session data" in debug settings.
With logging enabled, just refresh the account and wait for it to complete, then send the log to support / at / aqua-mail / dot com, and please include info on how many messages there were in web mail at the time.

I emailed as suggested. Thank you.
