Hello,
I have an issue with exchange/Office 365 calendar events that have the following format:
- repeating events AND
- created in a different time zone which does not undergo any time changes, while the timezone in which I am has change for daylight saving time (in my case, I am in Europe and the event was created using India time).
Such entries have the wrong time, i.e., they are one hour too late when we have winter time. In summer time, everthing is fine again.
Example:
Repeating entry created in India Standard time at 14:00 local India time. Currently, the correct starting time for Central Europe is 09:30. However, Aqua mail always displays the entry at 10:30, which is wrong. (Side node: 10:30 is the correct time after the time change in Europe). Aqua mail does not consider this change in the repeating events where other countries do not have such change.
Does anyone else has this error?
Thanks a lot!

Having the same problem.
I have seen other threads where someone offers an APK file and the issue is resolved.
However, i would prefer update the APP right way.
Any help is appreciated.

Another issue that I have just discovered concerns repeating entries for which one occurrence has been moved. Aqua mail still keeps the original entry, which is confusing as it is no longer valid.
Seems the calendar functionality is not up to par with other exchange calendars.

The issue still persists for a while (years). I am observing it on all my Android devices with Aqua Mail Pro (Samsung S10+, A7 2017, Tab S2 with Android 9, 8 and 7) - they all experience the same calendar problem:
• when recurring event was created (in MS Outlook 365/ Exchange) in different time zone before change to winter time ->
• then, after in the zone in which it had been created, winter time starts - then in the other zone where there is no winter/summer time change - it remains in the calendar at the same local time as it was in summer (what is incorrect), despite actual event starts now one hour later because now it shall be synced to the winter time in the sone it had been created.
Example:
- recurring event created in August (during summer time) in London, each week at 12:00 London time;
- till change to winter time it correctly shows up in calendar in Moscow time zone at 14:00 (2 hours difference with London during summer time);
- after change to winter time, in the time zone where the event had been created (London) it starts at the same local time (12:00);
- in Moscow time zone it incorrectly continues to show up at 14:00 local time, despite it shall be now starting at 15:00 because time difference in winter is 3 hours.
(If the recurring event is re-created after change to winter time then it appears correctly but - similarly - remains correct only until change to summer time.
Could you please look into this problem?
Thanks.

Any update here? Seems the problem still exists?

Hi All,
Thanks for your input here and to all the details you've sent us via email too.
Currently the situation is unpleasant for a small number of users. We do not want to make a major change and then create a global issue affecting more users :(
What we will do:
- we have a release coming very soon now, we are working on it and cannot put in a lot of time to attend to the calendar problem
- after it, we'll come back to this and we will post a test version of the app here; our developer has an idea what to do, but needs time for implementing it
Excuse us about any delay, but we simply cannot get to all issues as quickly as we'd like.

Hi Guys,
Good news, good news :) Our developers did not sleep last night and now we have a test build where the problem should be fixed:
https://www.aqua-mail.com/download/AquaMail-market-1.23.0-1551-develop-31a1d800c.apk
Most importantly when you install the app, you may need to re-sync the Exchange account with the Calendar. To do that:
Open account settings > Exchange options > disable the calendar sync > kill the app > open Aqua Mail > go to the Exchange options once more > sync the calendar.
The old/incorrect calendar events should be repopulated to be displayed correctly. Please let us know of the result.

Many thanks, timezones are correct now :) :) :)
Thanks for confirming :)
Please note that the fix will not be included in the next official release of the app ( 1.23.). We are very sorry, but will not have time for that. So the one after that (1.24.) will be officially good :)
