Title: Sent items problems
Post by: murmansk on June 02, 2017, 09:08:31 pm
I use Aquamail on my tablet and phone in conjunction with Fastmail as email provider and IMAP protocol

I have had a problem recently with Aquamail in that when I look in my Sent folder each message I have sent has next to it a red error message saying

!BAD kman28 NO  Mailbox does not exist

I find that the messages get sent but when I look in the Sent folder on Fastmail's website those messages sent via Aquamail are not there.

Oddly enough, when I have just looked on my phone the red messages seem not to be there but they are still there on my tablet.

Are you able to give me any clues as to how to sort this problem out?

Thanks

Long click on your account name (main view), the options and folders, then folders. Find your "sent" folder (as it is exactly called on your server) and associate it to sent.

It could also be the Drafts folder so please check both Drafts (should be set to "Sync with Drafts") and Sent (... "Sync with Sent").

And it would be worth while to check the Deleted folder too.

(what happens sometimes is that server side folder names change, and since folders in IMAP are identified by name only, this breaks the association of app folders to server folders )
