Post by: trommlertom on August 18, 2016, 02:26:24 pm
Hi...
Suddenly I can not sent emails from my Samsung Galaxy S5 anymore.

The app says "problem with smtp-server". Can not found the SMTP server.
But there was definetely no Change in this server address.
I remember I saw a meassage from AquaMail something with app run in background mode... But I don't know this in detail anymore.

How can I fix the problem?

please help

Thanks!
Thomas

Who is your email provider?
Does it happen on Wi-Fi, mobile data, or both?

Also, you may want to try toggling the option for DNS. (I don't remember if FAQ describes where to find it.)

I doubt it has much to do with "run in background".

It's possible that there's been a change to server name and/or port number, these things happen.

Please long press the account (on AquaMail's main screen) -> account setup -> Manual -> Next

You'll see detailed server settings like server name, encryption type, and port #.

Feel free to post them here (without the login or password, of course) and I'll check if I'm able to connect to this server (just connect, will not try to log in, obviously).

Or you can try to find server information (server settings) on your mail provider's web site and see if they're changed.
