Enhanced support for MS Online accounts
Since a lot of users had recently experienced problems with logging into their Exchange account we had quickly to figure out a way to help.
It’s important to highlight that this is a general issue with Exchange Online accounts due to the Microsoft enforced policy to disable Basic Authentication.
Furthermore, in January 2023 MS will shut down this way of authentication and it would be impossible for the users to log in from the Aqua Mail Exchange Account option with Exchange Online.
Logging into Exchange Online should be done through the “Office365 option”, where it is possible to use Modern Authentication instead of Basic.
If you continue having trouble connecting your Exchange Online account, please contact your system administrator/s first about the initial Exchange Online account configuration and then contact our support team for further assistance.
Meanwhile, our developers will continue their work on improving the account setup process when using Exchange Online.
Local servers (not online) should not have this issue.
